Hi, after alot of problems with my Rheumy I think that the end is fast approaching, I cancelled a couple of appts due to Malcolms dad dying and feeling ill from side effects of MXT, she wrote to my gp saying that she wouldn't send me another appt, I had a long chat with my gp, saying that you can't see her if you are feeling ill with sickness and other stomach problmes, I said that she really does not understand, we are waiting for her to decide her next move, ie do I still see her (I am not bothered one way or the other) or do I have a second opinion elsewhere love Kimxx

Hi Kim

I'm sorry you are having these problems.

However, you now have the rght to choose who you see and where you go for treatment.

Now you are mobile, can I suggest you come over to Bolton? Dr Fiona Wood and Dr S Vasireddy are both excellent and I have had absolutely first class, wonderful treatment since I changed.

Give me a ring if you want any further details. Away from Tusday next week until Sunday.

Much love

Dear Kim,

You don't deserve to be treated as such and I would most definitely seek a second opinion...

Love,

Amanda

Hi Kim - I would definitely use this as a reason to get referred to someone else. Let us know how you get on.

Hello Kim
no thats no on at all, especially when such valid reasons as to why could not make appointments, all they needed to have done was re schedule them for you to more suitable date.
sounds like its end of line issues so a change would be good.

Hi, well I saw my gp today, my current Rheumy has suggested I see her colleague, Professor Symons at Macclesfield, trouble is she could be influenced by my current Rheumy Dr Knight, I am considering Bolton hospital but it is a long way from Macclesfield, I am trying to find out about Leighton hospital to see if they have any Rheumatologists, love Kimxx

Hello Kim,
Hope you get this sorted soon. My gut feeling is saying maybe see the colleague if this location is more convenient for you - think positive, in this role she must be professional enough not to be influenced by others. Hope she turns out to be a blessing in disguise and much more supportive to you.
Take care & let us know how things are going xx
Positive vibes ~ love from Liz xxx
